Design of the secondary city utility tunnel with an emphasis on protection against ingress of groundwater
Vrána, Tomáš ; Černý, Vít (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
In the first part, the master’s thesis deals with the history of utility tunnels, methods of construction processes and materials from which they are built. It also mentions methods and materials which protect against the effects of groundwater. The thesis is mainly dedicated to the design and structural design of the secondary utility tunnel lining with an emphasis on protection against ingress of groundwater. The mathematical model was created in Plaxis 2DAE software.
Apartment building Zlin
Gavlík, Adam ; Nespěšný, Ondřej (referee) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is a project documentation of the construction of an apartment building in Zlín.This building is situated in the area suitable for building and housing, Boněcký rybník, Příluky u Zlína. This apartment building is designed with four floors and one underground floor. The lower structure is made of waterproof concrete. In this underground floor is situated technical backround of this building and also storage cellars, each for one apartment. The whole building consits of fifteen flats, these flats differ in dispozition or size. Part of most of these flats is loggia or terrace. In the first floor, there are not only flats, but also cycling room – room working as storage for bicycles for people living in this building. The bearing construction of this object is made of reinforced concrete, it is also insulated with ETICS and klinker facing strip. The roof is designed as single-layer flat roof. There is also a parking lot and gardens for owners of these flats.
Assessment of water quality from wells Highlands region
Remerová, Martina ; Vávrová, Milada (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on assessment of water quality from wells, which are situated in the Highlands region. The thesis deals with various types of water, whereas it deals in detail with underground water. Further there are described pollutants in water with the emphasis on elements, ions and salts in samples, which were examined in practical part. Then there is given general information about wells, a reader is acquainted with the Highlands region, there is described Velké Meziříčí closely and its surroundings. Last chapters are devoted to a geological section of the locations of wells and their characteristics. The thesis contains chapters attended to taking samples and an enumeration of used devices and chemicals. There are described methods of assessment of individual inorganic pollutants in an individual chapter. There are drawn up calibrations for elements and compounds. At the end of the thesis is concentrated on results. The results of each measurement are well-arranged and compared with standards for drinking water. In most of the cases is proved that wells from given locations are not contaminated by inorganic pollutants monitored in this thesis.

Groundwater in the landscape of the South Bohemian region
ŠTÁDLÍKOVÁ, Adéla
The diploma thesis deals with groundwater issues. The village Jenín was chosen for the work. The work contains theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part explains the terms connected with groundwater and its sources. The parctical part describes the area of interest and there are listed the sources of groundwater that were found during the survey of the territory. Within the survey a short analysis of water was carried out for four groundwater sources. The conclusion of this work assesses the current status of groundwater resources and proposes measures. The work includes a list of sources that has been used, photohraphs of the area of interest and short water analysis.
Methods for identification of vulnerable zones for nitrogen leaching in arable land
Zemek, František ; Pikl, Miroslav ; Holub, Petr ; Klem, Karel ; Záhora, J. ; Vavříková, J.
The methodology demonstrates on the case study of a catchment (cca 200 km2 in size) how to identify the areas with high risk of nitrogen (N) leaching to underground water in arable land. It uses synergy between “conservative” characteristics of the catchment, such as orographic features, bedrock and soil hydrological properties, and the dynamic ones, which are represented by vegetation properties. The latter are identified through the imaging spectroscopy of wheat canopy obtained from airborne hyperspectral and/or Sentinel-2 multispectral data.
The Blanka tunnel, geological hazadrs and problems during boring
Sedláček, Václav ; Král, Jan (advisor) ; Lešner, Jeroným (referee)
The Blanka tunnel has two boring sections: Brusnice tunnel and Královská obora tunnel. Both tunnels were boring in difficult geologycal conditions, but the geology conditions of these tunnels are not same. Also they had not the same hazards during boring. There was used a spectrum of different technical works with hazard reduction purpose and safety process of boring. There were three serious accidents, wnich everyone made a creater on the surface, but they have not the same causes. This text has a task to describe a geological survey before and during the boring of both tunnels. How other reasons affected the process of boring? How the tunnels were bored? What events preceded the everyone of three major failure? This text does not deal with economical things of boring and effects of specific personal influence on the process of boring. Key words Tunnel, excavation, Blanka, Brusnice, Letná, Stromovka park, Vltava river, underground water, geology, ordovik, New Austrian Tunnelling method, pilot tunnel, calotte, bench, bottom, arche, bolt, lining, grouting, collapse of ceiling, failure, tube, shale, quarzite, soil, loess, ballast, clay
